Awesomest Image du Jour CLXXI
The Earth's a big blue marble when you see it from out there....
Anybody else old enough to remember the children's television program Big Blue Marble? And the above first line from its opening theme song?
It's all I could think of when I saw this:

Apparently it's all NASA could think of, as well, because they call this image Blue Marble. It's the result of
piecing together composite images taken on January 24, 2012, by NASA's newest satellite.
