Awesomest Image du Jour CXI

On a day when most of the world is watching a total lunar eclipse (sadly only via the internets for those of us in North America), space-y things are in the air, so to speak.  Happily, this was reflected in an awesome collection of photographs posted over at PhotoRadar

The photographer is Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli, who just completed a several-month stint at the International Space Station this past May.  One of the approximately 100,000 pictures he took during his time there is this [click to expand]:

Captured using an 800 mm lens, the objects in the center are the Great Pyramids at Giza, just outside of Cairo, Eqypt.
