Truthfulest Image du Jour CXXIX

So what if this political cartoon ran over a year ago; it hasn't lost one bit of punch in the intervening period.

In fact, it may have gained some:  Timothy Geithner is staying on as Treasury Secretary; Congress is slashing spending without raising revenues; no one has gone to jail for actively facilitating the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression; and the banks continue to sit tight-fistedly on their your bailout cash.

And a brand-new election cycle is gearing up, largely underwritten by...guess who?

Pitchforks:  polish 'em, if you got 'em.
